I'm not sure if I've ever logged in here before, but have been through it a few times and seems like a good forum. I've been twisting bolts since around 12, starting with a 50cc Suzuki motorbike, and mostly worked on my own vehicles ever since. Recently retired and hoping to learn a few things more, and maybe offer a suggestion or two along the way

Welcome.
What type of Ranger do you have...year, ect?

Hello Grumpaw. It's a 93 Supercab 4.0 4x4 manual 5 speed

I'm going to expand a bit on my arrival here. I went looking for a forum to join, mostly about welding/metalwork. Mostly all i found were sponsored by welder manufacturers which I avoided due to obvious leaning posts in their direction. I did find a very large forum that seemed rather well traveled too, made an introductory post titled "Howdy from hot as hellOklahoma", it had been 105 that day. I saw the post go by titled "howdy from hot oklahoma" but didn't think much about it until the next morning, in my email was a scathing rebuke for obcenity from a moderator informing me I'd been given a demerit for profanity(on an entry which never got posted) which would never be erased, and three strikes you're out. I never logged back in to where-ever it was

Any way kept looking and wound up dropping by here one day and gave it a go. You guys and gals have proven to be a bit more than a cut above the rest, and i did take an extensive tour before dropping by here. I'm glad I happened by, this has shown to be an excellent group and forum.
Thanks for being there :)

All you gotta do is post "Hot as heck, but spelled with two "L's". That will probably get you past the profanity police.
