Hi All
How does the "C"clip come out when the "S" spring is in the way?
I have the axle pushed in all the way but the thickness of the "S" spring is in the way.
Does the "S" spring have to be removed?
Thanks

Yeah, you have to get it out of the way. It has been many moons since I have been in there but I think you have to pull the clutches out too.

From what I remember, the S clip will just slide out... you may have to use a pry bar to get it compressed and past the ring gear. Getting it back in is a challenge too, I get them started and use a rubber mallet to hammer it back in.

Be aware if the side gears are off a tooth it will not go in, so don't get too crazy with it. It will look like it will go but it will not... or so I have heard.

If everything is right it shouldn't fight too bad.
