Im trying to find an extended can ranger so I can have a sub box in the back, im just wondering if there is any room to squeeze a small sub enclosure behind the seats in a regular cab Ranger.

edit: to specify, im referring to the anything up to a 94 ranger

I built mine custom I think I had 3" up top and 9" on bottom. Not a lot a room, but if you don't mind making it long you can get decent bass. Here's mine

is that with the seats all the way back?

Thanks RSH
No, I couldn't move them all the way back. I forgot to allow room for how far the 6x9's stick out. So I can't put the seat all the way back. Oh well, If I get a notion to do it again in the fall I fix it. I still don't have my 10" running cause I need a amp and I don't want to run it without one it might screw it up.

you can easily run one 10"in a 1994. I have one in a fiberglass box behind my passenger seat(all the way back) and amp behind my seat. I can get pics tomorrow if you want

I used to have a 10" sub behind the seats in my '87 regular cab STX (bucket seats). The box was .66 cubic feet internal made of 3/4" MDF. I had to move the seat up about an inch, basically because the sub dictated that I build the box a depth that required to move the seat forward. If I had a shallower sub I could have just made the box wider to make up the .66 cubic feet I needed for it.

You could easily fit 2 shallow 12's and an amp back there with a custom made box. My friends got a regular cab S10 with 2 shallow pioneer 12's and a 1200 watt amp behind the seat. Fits perfect with the seat all the way back.
