Hi All

How does this quick connect come apart?
It does not appear to be the usual Duckbill or Spring loc or Hair pin connector.
There does not appear to be any room to use the small white plastic tool to release it.
Kinda looks more like an airchuck type fitting but I cannot see how it would release.

Pic one and two show the old reg with the the hose attached.
In the second pic you can barely see that there appears to be two holes one the end of the fitting, one on each side.

Pic three shows the big plastic cover that snaps over the connector.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

OK so I figured it out.
I made a special tool from a heavy duty paper clip.
Pressing the two ends into the two holes at the end pushed the collar into the fitting allowing me to pull out the reg.

New one installed...
Keep your fingers crossed...

Thanks
BIll

The proper tool is one of these in this set below. The set is relatively cheap at Autozone - around 10 bucks.

That's what I thought too but actually not.

I have two of those sets, the white plastic set and the anodized aluminum set but those require a ring around the inside of the female part to allow the tool to slip inside and release the fingers.

Looking closely at the photo you can see there is not a ring around the inside to use those tools. There is only two small square holes, one on each side (the one on the far side is more easily visible) that would accept the probes I made.
They pushed down on an internal collar that released the grip of the quick connect.
Very similar type of connector but not exactly.
