I have a 95 ranger with almost 300 thousand miles on it and i am just now having problems with it. I am changing the head gaskets due to a blown one on the truck and i am down to getting the lower intake off. I have two metal fuel injection lines on the intake that have to come off to get the intake off the truck but dont know how to take them off. Could someone please advise. god i miss the old big v-8s. lol

i have the tool or atleast what i was told was the tool. still not sure how the tool works to take the lines loose. or where exactly to take them loose. there is a connection right at the lower intake where the lines go to the injectors at and about a foot away is another connection. both places have the same type connection. The tool i got was from advance auto and it has two different end sizes just not sure how its supposed to fit into the line to take it loose.

There is a spring inside that holds the 2 lines together. You slide the tool in the connection to spread the spring so you can pull the lines apart.

ok cool thanks i will give it another try then. i will let you know how it goes.
