I just got my truck a few months ago... now that its getting cold i noticed a new issue.

It seems the idle is pretty high while shifting. I'll press the clutch in to shift and the RPM's jump up to 3k, if i hold the clutch in it will settle back down, but im not sure why its doing this in the first place...

Could it be IAC? (idle air control)

Does it only do this when the engine is cold?

Mine is doin the exact same thing but mine is a 4.0....... Mine does it all the time and Im pretty sure that mine is doin it cause whoever had the truck before me took out the t-stat and that is making it do this. Ive cleaned out my IAC and the only other thing I can think of is MAF.

I'd definitely get a t-stat back in there asap.
