hey everybody im jordan from Niagara falls Ontario im 18 I got the ford truck bug with my first car a f150 bought an impreza and sold it for my now dd 91 ranger (3.0 2wd) im looking to do a 5.0 swap and upgrade with junkyard parts kinda budget build

Sounds like a good plan...do you have the extended cab or regular?

You may have a problem finding parts in a junkyard these days, but maybe Niagara Falls has more pickings than central Ontario...the yards around here started crushing anything older than 98 and you pretty much have to buy a whole truck from someone...

Which I had to do to rebuild my 88...bought a 92 and 96 and mixed them all together...

Anyway...pics are always welcome as are build threads...feel free to start your own once you get going...there is a good group of people in the swap threads to help you through the rough spots...and a 5.0 swap has been done many times...

nice to meet you mark its an extended cab with a soon to be flat bed but i have a quick question for ya if you have the draft less windows i wanted to get some draft less windows in my 91 and i was wondering if all i need is glass and trim bits or if i need the whole door

Sorry for the delay here Jordan...but you'd need the whole door unless your skills are better than mine. There are a few places that would need to be welded to make a non no-draft door into a no-draft window door...gee, that's kinda complicated...

You probably will have a problem finding an older Gen I with those windows in the door...Bronco IIs used the same exact door if you can find one of those...and the biggest problem would be finding one with little or no rust...

I know you can still order them...but they are expensive...

I have two doors from an 88 for sale but they don't have the no-draft windows...they are actually in very good shape but need some attention...which I was going to give them today...but got sidetracked...

I just called a place in Uxbridge (Impact Auto) and they can get a front clip for a 92 to me for $180...new! So I know the parts can be bought if you have the money to do so...
