Hey guys I’m new to the ranger station and just wanted to introduce myself. Been a long time looker on here but a new member. I had a 1986 ranger in high school that I loved and I always wanted another one that was similar to it. A few years ago I found a great deal on a very clean 1990 Ranger xlt 4x4 with a sas. It came pretty well set up so the main things I have done over the past few years have just been maintenance and preventative measures to make sure it's a trust worthy and reliable driver both on and off road because I plan on keeping this truck forever. The parts list is on here from the original craigslist add I found it on a few years ago. The only other real things I did were wheels and tires. I put it on 15in america racing wheels and 32x11.50R15 BFG KO2's. I plan on doing a 4.0 swap on it this summer from a buddies ranger that has a 4.0 with low miles to give it some more pep. The 2.9 in it runs fantastic but I just want more power for longer drives. I also was wondering what I should do with the 2.9? I was thinking of selling it on here or just getting a truck thats trashed and putting this engine in there. Any tips or suggestions are very welcome! I also came across a couple pictures of the old Ranger that made me fall in love with these trucks over a decade ago!
