I have a 99 ranger with the 4.0 i went to park at my appartment today and slid down hill i put the truck in reverse and nothing happened anyone have any ides what it could be????? need help asap thanks alot

Has this transmission experienced any slipping issues in the past?
Make sure the shift linkage on the transmission is adjusted properly.
The 5R55E is know to have valve body gasket issues as well. It wouldn't hurt to take it to a transmission shop for an opinion. I would do this ASAP if you problem persists.
