If you mean realign the clutch disc, yes. The clutch assembly has to come off to replace the bearing.

The pilot bearing can affect shifting if it doesn't rotate freely (like as if the clutch itself was dragging slightly).

I would research the PP reset. I only heard about this recently. But I've read that they can be set.
