Hello everyone, new to this forum but not to the world of modified automobiles.
My name's Drew, originally from North Alabama but currently a student at Clemson University. Had a 4x4 Xterra all through high school that I built u myself, as well as experience on the track with my buddy who I built a 240sx with.
Another friend of mine had a Ranger for several years that he upgraded with a lift and 33"s. I loved his truck and have been in the market for a new truck, so I went and bought myself a nice black 2000 Ranger XLT 4x4 5-speed with a 3.0. Had 140k on the odo when I bought it from an old timer who used it as a weekend hunting truck and to move furniture with. Its in extremely good condition. Luckily I didnt have to put the mods on myself, he took it to Clemson Offroad and upgraded it with a 7" lift (4" suspension, 3" body. Superlift brand), 35"s and 4.88 gears about 2 months ago. I guess he was trying to retain resell value or something. Had a full tune up and maintenance at 135K and installed the mods at around 137K. So far no leaks, squeaks, or wheels flying off. Seems to be a solid vehicle.
I'm glad to be back in a truck, and so far my new Ranger is just as good (better IMHO) than my buddies old rig. Glad to be here on the forums, looking forward to making some new friends.
