hello to every one here, i have just purchased my first truck and it happens to be a ford ranger, i found this site threw links and see that there is some good stuff for me to learn in here, so i have a 95 ranger xlt, 5 speed 4x4 extended cab 4.0 v6 with about 180k oh and its Purple. i picked it up for $900 cuz it needed some work, such as wheel bearings in the front and leaf spring shackles in the rear, i have finished all the work today and have an appointment on thursday for an alignment. i found out that the 4x4 dont work and have tried cleaning off all the connections and taping on it wile some one switches to 4 hi and low but no luck, i think i need a new motor for it, also today i was at the end of my drive way and she started to sound like it had a fog horn under the hood, i haven't figured out what is was but it went away as i started to drive. so far i like it and hope to get a few years out of it, i love to learn new things and do most of the mechanical work my self so if any one has suggestions or useful links i'll gladly take the info, well i think thats it, thanks in advanced.
