it is finally awesome to finally find a site dedicated to some oddball 4x4s. i have seen a lot of stuff that has given me some pretty sweet ideas. here are some specs on my ranger. it is an 83 standard cab shortbed 4x4. i do not know the exact amount of lift as i bought it lifted. but i am in the works of doing a coil sprung 4 link sas with a jeep dana 30. it has 4:11 gears and i am upgrading the axles with chromoly axles which is also part of a kit to eliminate the crappy jeep vacuum shift hubs. i am also putting a ford 7.5 rear axle with 4:11 gears in the rear. also using 2" lift shackles and 5 or 6" lift springs in the rear. right now it has a 2.9 efi v6, 5spd, and transfer case out of an 87 ranger but am contemplating a 4.0 swap. also building a stinger style front bumper with winch mount and rear bumper with swingout tire carrier. headache rack is almost done. will hopefully be able to post pictures soon of what it looks like now and through the build. thanks for reading
