Hi guys, this is Lucas (22) from Dortmund, Germany (so please excuse my poor english). I just bought a ´89 Ford Ranger XLT 2.9 US import and I love it, though it has some minor issues (more to it in the tech discussion forums). It´s my first Truck and my first US car so i´m really looking forward to exchange experiences with you guys.
See you in the discussion forums and greetings from germany, your new Ranger enthusiast Lucas

Welcome!

Your english seems pretty good...in fact probably better than a good part of this country!

Wilkommen Lucas! Okay my Deutsch sucks even though I spent 14 years there. Glad you found the forum and a Ranger.

Mmm, Deutchensuken.

I don't speak a lick of German, but I do read it pretty well. One of these days I would like to learn it, but it has seemed pointless. Most of the Germans I know speak Spanish. I made it through two weeks in Germany on Spanish once.

But hey, at least you are closer to the guys that built the 2.9 than any of us.

Welcome to TRS. Spent sometime at Ramstein Air Force Base back in 2010, beautiful country over there. Again welcome.

Welcome to the site. I always thought it would be cool to visit Germany. A friend of mine got to do visit over there a few years ago while his dad was stationed there for military.

How did he like it? I will definitely visit the states in a few months, and maybe I will take my truck with me ;)

He said it was kinda weird, but he liked it. It was just out of his norm, and he says that he would actually like to go back again sometime. I told him to let me know when he decides to do it because I want to tag along and go see the country.
