I am in need of some help to figure out problems with the van...
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I once had a E300 with a 300 straight 6, was an awesome little Van. I was actually looking up some of those for sale earlier, wondered if any of them had been mine :/
Does yours have a twin I beam front suspension?
What are you trying to figure out' there are some really good folks here who are great mechanics and problem solvers :)

I didn't realize they had a E-Ranger

Whats wrong with it?

They are basically 92-96 Fseries trucks with 97+F150 drivetrains (by 1997 anyways)

Their new ones seem to be a cab with a van frame, just no van body

The E-series is the most basic vehicle Ford makes… what’s your issue?

The cutaway (what they use for motorhomes and stuff) is the only model available since 2014.

Yes they still use twin I beam. So do the 2wd superduties

Hello, sorry for the late reply...Other priorities... So, two issues.
One the (stock) radio stopped working. And I do not want to install an aftermarket radio... What should I check; fuses, wires, the radio itself...?

Two the vent fan doesn't work... I believe I should go through each fuse, relay, and then check the blower resistor... There's a good video I watched on YT...

The one I'd really like to get fixed is the radio...

Again, thanks for your interest and input! God Bless! †

I don't know, but I'd be more concerned about the vent (heater!) fan than the radio. You can drive without the radio. In the winter, or when it's really humid, you can't drive without the heater fan to keep your windshield clear.

For the stereo, if it won't power on at all I would check the fuses, one might be shared with one of the 12v ports (cigarette lighters) which would turn it off all together, if it powers on but won't output sound the stereo is likely bad, Ford only used a few so finding replacement stock stereos isn't too hard...

For the fan, the resistor troubleshooting is pretty much if it only works on high, it's the resistor, otherwise it's something else.

For everything I would definitely start with checking fuses...

Once upon a time we had 150 or so E-series vans in our fleet. Replacing the blower motor, resistor, and resistor pigtail was a very common occurrence. To quickly diagnose a bad blower motor:
Turn it on to each different speed. Did it work any any speed but not all of them?
Yes - it’s almost always the resistor or blower switch. VERY rarely do we have wiring issues on that circuit.
No - Turn it on high and hit the blower with a handle of a hammer (or similar object). If it turns on, you’ve got a bad blower motor. Replace the blower, resistor, and resistor pigtail.(The resistor and pigtail tend to become 1 due to rust and age.)

Thanks for your response! So, the blower does not come on at all... I will be going through each fuse and then to the resistor... Does anyone have a diagram of fuses they could share from a manual...? Thanks!
