Hello everyone, I'm glad to have found these forums!

I am new to both Rangers, and the forums. last year, i got a 1992 Ford Ranger XLT, 2wd, 2.3l off of the family of a friend of mine. it needs some work, but i only paid $500 for it, and it runs well. after moving about a month ago, i drove it to my new house (right around a 4-4.5 hour drive), and to my suprise, it only used 1/2 a tank of gas!

it does still have some issues that i need to address with it, such as i need to figure out how to hook up the parking brake, and i also need to find a new bed for it. I replaced the drum brakes on it earlier this year, and had to do so again last week. luckily, everything that needed replaced was under warranty, so i didn't need to pay for any of it again.

I am new here too! These trucks are pretty amazing and I have started to take notice if just how many are out there! Yes tue Gas mileage is amazing!! Being self employed and living pretty much on a fixed income these says has helped my wife and I by getting our truck, best of luck with your truck!
