What about lifters? Should the stockers be fine to use again or should I bite the bullet and get new?

It has always been the rule to NOT put new lifters on an old camshaft. The lifters on each cam lobe have worn it to a praticular pattern and new lifters will cause an increase in wear.

I got my head gasket kit and head bolts off of Amazon.com. They were the cheapest price I found for the exact same part number and manufacture. Just another place to look.

make sure you check the valve seats. i just had to replace my heads because 5 out of the 6 were either missing or cracked
