ok when i drive my 88 ranger and i am coming up to a stop i push the clutch and go to shift into 1st while its still roleing and i basicly have to force it into 1st gear. when im at a complete stop it is easy but when its roling with the cluch pushed in it is hard to down shift. any suggestions??:icon_confused:

Might need to bled your clutch master cylinder; just a guess though.

let the truck slow down a bit more, the internals are spinning a little to fast for that gear. Or try second or third gear. would be my guess, I never try to put mine into first if I'm rolling more than 5-7 mph

mine sometimes wont want to downshift into 3rd or 2nd, but if i quickly hit the gas pedal and let off it as soon as i push the clutch in to downshift it will go right in. i rarely downshift into 1st while moving. could be a syncro issue? going up through the gears i have no problems, and i can go to 4rth from 5th without a problem.

just downshift to third, then i go into neutral. until i need to go again. then i get into first, or sometimes 2nd.
