I'm in the market for a Ford Ranger. They seem to be plentiful in SoCal, but I'm hoping to learn more about them before I buy one, and then learn what I need to do to take care of it.

All years are great, lol
but..............
2001 to 2004 4.0l SOHC engines could have bad timing chains/tensioners, engine needs to be pull out to repair
2004 to 2006 3.0l Rangers could have bad valves, need to replace heads to repair
The 1994 to 2010 Mazda B-series ARE Rangers, just have different body trims and badges
These can often be found at a lower price by year and options, there were less of these made so will be fewer for sale, but a good buy if you see one you like
