I am starting to plan out and get the details worked out on a rotary swap into a 94 with a dead 2.3l.
Anyone who has any ideas or recommendations throw em out there. Hoping to get the forum involved on planning this thing out and making it go right.
Thanks all.

So far I am thinking RX-8 Renesis with a 5 speed. Any ideas on the fab work for the driveshaft, engine mount, or electrical harness are welcome.

AFAIK you'll be the first.
Keep a journal with pics on TRS, for sure I'd like to see what you come up with.

We did a RX-7 13b mated to a type 1 VW transaxle mid engine with a KEP adapter.... to long ago for me to remember all the details. I know the oil injection system was striped off and ran pre mixed fuel with golden spectro synthetic 2 cycle oil. I don't remember who we bought the intake manifold from... but we fueled it with a single 48 IDA Weber. What I remember was we had to run the drags/hill climbs at an 85% handicap. Damn thing would spin endless RPM's and was fast! I believe we launched at 7500 and shifted just short 10,000. We would make a pass and pull back to the pits and it always drew a crowd... what the hell is in that? It is still parked in the barn... waiting to be raced again.

there was a rotary ranger in the 80's in waterford. scca fail.

Surprised I never seen that one... I knew several Formula V guys I did my fare share of stomping around Waterford. Even thought they were gonna have to get a tow truck in the pits to remove me from a Formula V once... those things are built for those less portly then myself... I was pretty much stuck in it.

Nice to see you around again Bobby... sure do wish I could have made the trail ride.
