Getting ready to do a headgasket

So I'm pretty sure one of my cylinder heads is cracked on my 94' 2wd. There's oil in the coolant and toxic smoke blowing through the vents. Gonna be ordering from Tom Morana but getting a local shop to do the work.

Morana stage 2 heads
1:8:1 Roller rocker kit
422 camshaft
ARP Head studs
Pushrods
Intake, manifold, valvecover and head gaskets

Anything else I should have replaced while the heads are off?

Studs might be an issue if you need to pull off a head with engine in place.
And with 9.0:1 compression ratio they really are not needed.
Studs are popular with racers that pull the head(s) off frequently, because they can be reused, and can be better with higher compression engines in holding force.

Toxic smoke in the cab would be another matter altogether, could have blown out heater core from over pressurized cooling system from cylinder breach(head crack or gasket)

Oil in the coolant can be from trans cooler not the engine, if you have an automatic.

Cracked head can ONLY effect cooling system, and wouldn't put oil in the coolant, blown head gasket could but it is less likely since cooling system pressure is maxed out by cylinder pressure, thru head gasket breach, so more likely to get coolant in the oil than the other way around.

But looks like a good build, good parts to add, should get a few more ponies.

If engine is out I would change front and rear main seals(new cam should come with front anyway), also new oil pump, thermostat for sure and if funds permit, new water pump
