ok I own a 99 ranger that some of the lights went out in the guage cluster panel, so i took it apart changed the light bulbs behind it BUT before i was finished i had to move my truck, so with the instrament panel out of the truck i started it and backed it out of the garage. while parking the truck it started beeping i think 4 or 5 time in a row. i put everything back together and it still beeps 4 or 5 times when i start the truck now i tried resetting the computer but the beeping remains does any one know why or what i can try to fix it ?????

thanks

I had never heard of such a thing but I combed the manual on the Ford PTS website until I came across something. The airbag module will put out an audible tone if the indicator light is burned out or the circuit is shorted to power. Does the airbag light in the cluster come on When you start it? If not, I'd start looking for a bad bulb or connection at that socket on the cluster. I've installed new bulbs, only to have them not work because the wires on the bulb are bent and not making contact with the socket. Hope this helps!
