2.3L ('83-'97) Gasoline pump always on

Hello, everyone.
I have an 88 2.3 liters. The issue is the pump gas is always working as long as the battery is connected, even with no key on and without the PCM.
I've installed a killer switch as a temporal solution but I want it to make it right.

Does anybody know where should I start looking at? Any help would be much appreciated.

Since power to the fuel pump comes from the fuel pump relay... I would start diagnostics there.

For it to run constantly... I would think either the relay is stuck closed... or the fuel pump power wire is somehow shorted to B+.

or a previous owner bypassed the stock wiring and wired it direct...

I checked it and the issue was the gas pump relay. I opened it and it was stuck closed so I just fixed it and installed it again. Everything seems to be working just fine now. As soon as I can I'll go get a new one.
