Gas line do-hickeys...

So I'm checking the fuel lines up to the manifold to try to make sure I don't have a clog. I disconnect the hose from the fuel filter that has the little plastic clip...easy enough.

Then I follow the line up to the manifold or whatever the efi name is for where the gas goes. I want to unhook the hose but it runs to this chrome metal round thing that is in line and has a clip that seems to hold it on. I pop off the clip, but I can't figure out how the metal do-hickey comes apart...I mean I think it should come apart...

Did any of the above make sense?

You need a set of fuel/ ac line disconnect tools, like these:

Indeed, those little monsters. Sears sells a kit for around $7 or so here. They come with instructions, and if not, you basically clip it on, spread it, and put it back.

Make sure to check the o-rings inside the flare fittings.
