My buddy just bought a 4'' suspension lift for a ttb, it came with everything but front swaybar drop brackets. Before fabbing up some drop brackets, we were wondering what the effects would be if we just left the swaybar in the stock position and proceeded with the lift.

Anyone done this?

Just remove the sway bar, I havent run the front sway bar for the last 15,000 miles and I actually preferred it without. You will greatly increase your off road performance as well. I also removed my rear sway bar and I have no complaints about how the truck handles.

I concur. Just kill the sway bar.

But if you wanna keep it..

The end links won't be long enough, so it won't work..
Either drop the brackets down, or, get longer end links. (Ones off a Rear 7.5 sway bar BII will work geat, may need to bend them very slightly.)

l would agree with the previous posts. l just went through this same dilemna over Thanksgiving. l lifted my truck and never purchased/ received the brackets. l had plans to make some in the future, but l see no need to do so.

You probably wont even notice the change if you started driving it after lifting it w/ no sway bar. It will just seem "normal" :icon_thumby:

I ran a few years without the swaybar. On the road it sways a little, didn't drive around corners as fast. But it is a lifted truck so you should not be driving as fast as a car anyway.

leave the sway bar where it is and make longer links, or lengthen the old ones.

thanks for the response guys, i actually made longer end links for mine. we ended up just ripping it off my buddy's till i have time to make him a set.
