I'm looking for tips on changing the front differential gasket in an 88 Ranger. Looks like I may need to remove the tires, hubs and axles? What's the easiest way to put in a new gasket?
need to pull driver tire hub internals, brake caliper, spindle shock sway bar an radius arm bolts on the beam. then theirs a pinch bolt. do the same for the passenger side, you want to get it down to the spindle to get the axle shaft out. then undo your bolts for the pig an use a prybar an it will pop right of. clean up the beam an pig an put down a good coat of rtv an your good to go.
