I have the aluminum spacers to perform the free floating rocker modification. According to Pat Kuntz, http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Kunz_Korner.htm, the rocker arm bore should be opened up during this modification.
1. Is this really necessary? Has anyone performed this mod and not opened up the rocker bores?
2. How does one go about opening up the bore? Use a ball hone?
