Ford NGS, SCP Bus, PCM Issues

Been chasing an intermittent rough running concern on cold start. Gotten to the point where my current scan tools and Forscan weren't helping so I went out and bought a Ford NGS. When connecting and attempting to view PCM pids or viewing OBD2 info on the NGS, it kept giving me a link error. Which I found odd since I could still communicate with all the other modules. So I ran the diagnostic data link test on the NGS and both SCP busses failed. The ISO bus passed. I check and found no voltage on SCP+ at the DLC. Did further testing following the PC/ED pinpoint test and the circuits are good (no shorts or opens) Powers and grounds to PCM good. PC/ED diagnostics lead to PCM replacement. Few things that are confusing me. I have 2 other scan tools (albeit lower capability ones) and Forscan which communicate with the truck, can pull PCM codes, read live data, and view OBD2 data. Why can't the NGS do it? Is it pulling data from just the SCP- line since that is still working? Also do you guys have any suggestions for PCM repair? I took it out but don't know how or don't want to mess anything up trying to get it apart to view the circuit board. Maybe it is causing my rough running issue also but won't get my hopes up lol.
