I know this has been touched on a little on here, but I haven't been able to get all of my queations answered. I have a 1987 Ranger 4x4, 2.3, with the FM145 standard cab short bed (108 WB). I know an M5OD from a truck with a 2.3 will bolt to the 2.3 in my truck. The questions I have are this:

Is the FM145 and M5OD the same length? If not will driveshafts from another truck with the M5OD the same wheelbase as mine swap into mine?

Is the clutch pilot dia, flywheel, and slave cylinder the same?

Will the 1350 tc bolt to the M5OD?

Will the crosssmembers line up?

Does the shifter come through the floor in the same location?

If anyone has anything to add please feel free.

Thanks.

Steve

Well I believe it would work and all, the only problem I see you running into is finding a 2.3L M5OD 4x4 transmission. as a 2wd one won't work. other then that it should all be plug and play I believe

I did search. That is why I said that I knew it had already been touched on, but I couldn't find answers to all my questions.

Do you have any idea what one weighs? Just wondering what shipping would be from you to 49738 zip code. Let me know if you can on the weight if youy can.
