FM145 half moon?

I just pulled the pan on my FM145 and was a little surprised to find parts that might make a half moon? I was expecting dirtier oil (unknown maintenance) with a smattering of gear teeth.
I knew it had a couple issue when I got it had;
5th was bad, symptoms at idle clutch released = no movement
2nd was a little hard to find on occasion, worse when cold

The oil seemed clean and the mag-plug had only a little growth, but what do you make of the two parts I found?
Also, does this make it unsuitable to repair/core?

Took a better look after removing;

The forward gears look normal;

Well it appears to "shift" normally into OD;

Nothing looks like what I think this was in this blow apart;
