Going to be replacing a floorpan and painting the floors in my truck. I have the floor pan killing leak fixed (seam sealer dried and fell off of a seam at the bottom DS of the windshield.

What is the best kind of coating to put on the floor under the carpet? Bedliner?

How about sound deadening? It almost seems that the factory asphalt type stuff absorbs water and spreads it out while holding it against the floor. It kind of makes me leary about what is good to use.

Hopefully the leaks are fixed but it is an old truck and who knows down the road.

I used rubber undercoat on mine. Inside and out.
