i was thinking while I have the front of my motor tore down i have my flex fan from my old f100 layin around an i was thinkin bout swappin out the old fan clutch an puttin it on there im still going to run my factory shroud i like the idea of constant cooling as to the clutch fan set up if theres a malfunction somewheres.
i was just wondering if any one else ran this set up on a 2.9 before or not?

its been done before but I wouldn't recommend it, the clutch fan will just about lock up if the engine demands it, it is much quieter than a flex fan and replacement clutches are cheap enough that I would find it hard to justify putting anything else on there.

put on a Derale electric fan. Single speed.

keeps my crawler super cool.

the only problem im having is finding a spacer kit that will go over the threads for my clutch fan on my waterpump.
any one have any ideas or pictures of what they've done?

thats exactly what im lookin for pete...i believe now tho i may just do a efan conversion...seems simpler an maybe a lil cheaper.
