Hello
My brother has a Ford Courier here in Australia which i think is the Ford ranger over there.
It is a 2005 4.0l Auto 4x4
The 4x4 hasnt worked since he got it and the two lights on the dash flash very fast even when the engine hasnt been started but the key is turned to bring the lights on.
When you turn the switch nothing happens and when you press the rfw button nothing happens either.
We checked the transfer case motor and it was badly corroded - the springs for the bushes had turned into a ball of rust. So we fixed this tested that the motor worked with 12v and replaced.
Is there a wiring diagram so i can test the rfw control module out there?
Im thinking the corrosion in the motor may have done something to the control module.
Also i have 12v on both the lock and free solenoids is this correct?? I thought only one should have power at a time?
Thanks for any info
Joel
