Fixing a dented/misaligned door

I have a 1992 xlt, and the driver side door is all messed up and bent the front body panel and the door panel itself, its also hanging wrong and cant close, open, or lock properly. Its got power windows (idk if thats relavant). I was wondering if theres any advice on how to fix the problem? Theyre like foot long, inch deep dents on both panels and a bit of a crumple on the door that hits the front body pannel. Any advice on how to rehang the door and pop out the dents would be EXCEPTIONAL, also if theres any interchangable doors from other ford vehicles, thatd be swell knowlege to have too.

I can take some tomorrow to put them up, theyre not small dents by any means, the door years is some great info tho, thanks man

do ranger door hinges have bushings that wear out? though it sounds like something pushed the fender back into the door, like a small accident or fender bender.

If your body working skills are great you can pound it out and get it straight enough cheaper than buying another... since you are posting asking opinions I am gonna assume you aren't a lifetime body shop man. For those of us who are not professional auto body repair guys, going to the 'yard (junkyard) and grab a replacement door and fender... it is a lot of work to take all the guts out and transfer to the donor - but even if you were a body guy you probably would have to do that anyhow if it is that bad a shape. Sidenote, the mirror placement changed with the 3rd gen in 1993, etc etc - so your donors will be 83-92 ranger/bronco 2/?91 explorer?-verify that, and if you have power it is easiest to find one with power too (as the regulator is riveted in)... I would plan everything out so you can go get the door, do the swap efficiently and get the mangled back to the yard (as a core charge) within their core window - usually 30 days.

Be glad you are west of the Miss, those guys back east pay twice what we have to at the yard.

Yeah, i believe it was a hit to a wall or something? Its probably not the bushings since the hinges seem relatively fine but im no expert

loosen the fender bolts and slide it forward so once everything is straightened out, it won't hit again as soon as you open the door

it also looks like the door was opened to far and that bent stuff too. you might have some alignment issues and air leaks around the top of the door once you get everything fixed
