First Post! Question about Camburg 5.5?

Hey everyone new member here. Site looks cool! I just picked up an 03 xlt and Im looking into the Camburg 5.5 Lift kit. I just have a question about the rear end. What actually comes in the kit for the rear end? Does it require cutting through the bed and adding tubing? Im not looking into anything that extreme because i still need to put my race quad into the bed. Any info will be great!

i dont think you'll need to cut through the bed for shock hoops or anything but im not 100% on that. im sure someone else will know for sure tho.

The kit doesnt have anything for a rear lift. It's just a front lift only. You should look into add-a-leafs...or if you can afford it. Get some deavers for the rear.

you dont have to cut threw the bed if your get the rear deaver's and the bil 5100's,you just wont get the full travel potential out of the springs. As the shocks will be a limiting factor if kept in the stock location's.

the rear will be a pair of deaver springs, bilstien 5100 shocks, and maybe thier shackles. You will need to flip your shackles also. 4 rivtes per side you get to grind out and replace with 1/2 bolts. grade 8 bolts are fine, unless you want to buy in the exotic bolts they like to push.

Thanks for the answers. Yea I figured I would have to go with the Deavers on the rear. I was just crossing my fingers that the rear setup was included in the price. lol I should have known. Im planning on going with this kit still. Id rather do it right the first time then regret it later, so ill spend the money now

If you use the camburg shackles you will have to cut the box, when you flip the hanger the shackles are too long to clear the box. Look through the prerunner forums for some ideas or contact Dave@threatmotorsport you can find him in the forums
