So I’m half heartedly looking around for another ICM for my bii. The problem is I have a literal box with burnt up ones I’ve gotten from various parts stores. I usually get a year or less out of them before they go bumpkis. Does anyone have a good source for a GOOD ICM? I’ve used cardone, whatever orileys is peddling, rock auto, all of them and they never seem to be that good. I’m sceptical of an NOS motorcraft one from eBay because it’s 30+ years old. Does any of the aftermarket companies actually make an acceptable ICM?

If ICM is ignition module, Motorcraft still sells them. They look different and the case is smaller but they work the same. Frequent module failures usually means the coil resistance is too low. It should show about 1.2 ohms measured across the primary terminals if I remember right. If it's too low a ballast resistor could be added if you don't want to buy a new coil.
