Finally put on my rollbar!!!

Ya i had them set up where 2 pointed strait ahead and 2 others off to the side a bit, up here we have alot of moose and hitting a moose can be a bad thing to do, nothing like a 1600 lb animal coming in on your lap tha stands as tall as a horse. So alot of people up here mount lights so when they are out of town they kick em on. I admit I used mine alot but as soon as i saw oncoming headlights or light ( from around a corner or something) I would shut them off. They have saved me from hitting moose a few times. I really need to go get the stuff and get my new ones hooked up. My lights tand kind of tall off the roll bar, not sure if thats what you want. We took angle iron and cut them into 1.5 inch widths and welded them upside down so they stand up about an inch up off the roll bar. Looking back I should have just used a piece of flat and welded the tab off the back flush with the top of the bar but I will say having those lights up like that they can reach there full potential. THey dont hit the truck they just hit where aimed.

O and my bar is actually made out of old 3/8 thick 3 inch boiler pipe lol , so its about 200 lbs. Its pretty heavy duty.

Mine weighs about 50 pounds if that lol, but I've been thinking about mounting for facing forward, then aiming one in the bed in reverse kind of as a good cargo or work light

I had 4 facing forward and 2 facing backwards on the white truck, took a short piece of flat stock and drilled 2 holes in it one on each end and when I mounted the forward facing light I bolted the flat piece of stock in between the light and the mount so it was point backwards from the to middle lights and then mounted 2 lights on there. I then hooked those up to a seperate switch and used them as cargo lights, and for those who left there brights on lol...... but I plan on doing something similer on this truck but I need to get the welder from my moms house and bring it out here and get some stock and just weld perm. plates for the rear facing lights. Then I plan on stripping all the old paint off and Hurculining the whole roll bar. But its going to be a lil while before I do all of it.

Looks good man, I'm getting ready to do something similar to mine. First will be rhino lining to keep the "black" accent for the bed. Then a black roll bar, something like THIS. Then a Poly Performance light bar. Then the coup de gras! 4 of THESE to go with the 2 long range on the front.

I hope to have this all done in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pics when it's done.

Man, this is where my truck was headed before I opted for a shell... I have the same wheels :X

my roll bar sits about flush with the top of the cab , that is how i like it , right now it has my blue light in the center and 1 rear facing light , i only have 2 light tads , but i am gonna make some custom brackets to mount 4 KC 130W Daylighters

Yea, I know mine sits kind of high, but it makes the truck look a little higher lol

I don't wana lift this 4 banger ranger anymore, but I do plan on the 31s, but what else other mods can I do to make it look meaner?

i just used a piece of angle iron between the 2 original light tabs to mount all 4 of my lights up its a lot easier then trying to get 2 more tabs centered and alligned

That seems pretty simple. Only thing is, Id b lookin at almost 200 bucks for 4 KC Daylighters, I might just stick with two and put one on the bottom of the rollbar facing into the bed of the truck

You could get some aftermarket fender flares to go along with the mud tires to really give it that 4x4 look. BTW, I want your rollbar for my '04 LOL.:icon_cheers:

Thought about findin some fender flares in a junkyard, too expensive new. You can have the rollbar, but we gota trade trucks lol

:icon_rofl:Sorry, no trade, just thought i'd see what kinda reaction i'd get out of ya.LOL Nice truck BTW.:D
