My name is Preston, I was born and raised in Utah. I bought 2000 4.0L 4x4 xlt flare side in 2006. I sold it when I moved out here to Indiana in 2009. I've missed my ranger.
I just got another one, a 2wd 1993 4.0L xlt stick to use as an "airport car". It now sits for up to 4 days at a time in the airport parking lot. I have mild ambitions for the truck. I have a 2" lift, my brother is giving me. In the future I will go to 4". When I run these tires bald, I'll upgrade to something more aggressive. For now, I am trying to get the AC to blow cold, I'll clean the seats and fix the headliner.
While I'm here I will as question about the AC. I've installed adapters to convert from r12 to r134, compressor works when relay is bypassed and when pressure switch is bypassed. Air is not cold and it won't come on all on its own. Any ideas? I have added only 16oz of r134 but it is higher pressure than I would expect required to trip the sensor.
Any help would be appreciated
