I've been browsing the forum off and on for quite a while now, and finally got a Ranger, so I figured I better join. It's just a cheap beater bush toy, should be lots of fun. It's a 94, 4.0, 5 speed, on 32's with 6" lift coils in the front along with cut and turned beams and longer shocks and radius arms. Not sure what was done at the back, but it sits fairly level. It's got longer Rancho shocks at the back as well, and seems to get around pretty good so far. And for the bad, it's got a ton of hard miles on it and burns a fair bit of oil, plus needs some going through as it's been sitting since about 2014. So basically all the boots on the tie rod ends and ball joints are cracked and leaking, and the tires are fairly hard. It's not something I'm going to be using a lot though, so for $500 I can overlook a few issues.
The front wheel bearings had lots of grease everywhere except where it could do some good, and the nut had back off a bit or wasn't snuggled up enough, they had a fair bit of play.
The front diff oil looked like a chocolate milkshake, and I didn't have a big syringe to suck it out with, so I modified an old engine oil pump and spun it with my drill. That worked awesome.
