Few stupid newbie q's about 88 ranger.

Hey guys I just bought an 88 ranger stx highboy and I really don't know much about it. It's supposed to be 1.5 inch higher then standard 4x4 rangers. It has 31x10.50r15's on it. Does this all sound correct? Also my local auto parts store is having a hard time finding shocks for this thing. Where should I go for them? I'm not looking to lift it any higher. Just need replacements for what is on it. Thanks for the help guys.

i used f150 shocks on the front of mine as standard 4x4 shocks were to short.

factory tire size on an stx high rider is 215/75r/15

a Highboy ranger? lol i think you have that mixed up with high rider.

order shocks for a ranger with 0-2" of lift, or f150 shocks. and the only rangers that 31s came with stock are the FX4 level IIs. your stock size would be either 215/75 or 235/75

correction it would be 205/75 or 215/75 on a first gen

hey Boggin....mine came with 265/75/15's ( essentially a 31" )....in 96 ....what it says on the door sticker....
