Does the F-150 intake manifold fit in the Ranger? I was interested to know if a 5.0/5 spd. from a F-150 could be used. I see alot of Mustang and Vic. intakes, but no truck intakes. How much too tall would it be? Can a cowl hood cover it?

There have been a couple of swaps done in the past that fit with the truck setup. There's more room vertically under the hood than you might think. I had a 3x2 setup under the hood of my 89 with the factory cast aluminum air cleaner, reversed to clear the firewall and with a 3" filter in it.

I was going to use an F250 motor and intake, I would have had to make a cowl about 3-4" high and 5" wide.....that was so I could run the AOD T.V. cable using the original cables and brackets. I have no body lift either.
