I'm kinda confused what I should do for radius arm mounts. I bought already extended radius arms with a fabricated cross member but the cross member is too wide for my truck (I could cut it and shorten it) but it looks kinda tacky and I want something different. So, does anyone have any ideas? I don't want drop brackets I prefer if they were tucked on the frame rail. I searched and some people said you can us f-150 mounts but I found one and it didn't look very usable. And, where do I place it? Like how do I know how far back or forward to move the mount so that the radius arms fit. Would I install the lift and put the truck back down on the ground then weld it on?

Thanks:icon_thumby:

I would find where the passengerside axle beam just clears right behind the driverside beam pivot bracket (¾-1" or so), and then place the radius arm bracket accordingly (and of course put the driverside mount in the same position as well).

As for brackets, '73-'77 F-150 mounts put the arm up closer to the frame than the '78-'79 mounts do. Maybe try the '77 F-150 mounts if the one you looked at was from a '79.
