Explore to Ranger bumper swap?

I did a search, but all the threads talk around my question. Will a 1996 explorer (2 door) bumper fit on a 1998 Ranger 4x4? I know the back one is too wide, as I have a stepside. Also, any other parts that I can salvage and keep, ie rims, rear end????

The bumper is the same width, but you need to cut the frame horns off the exp and weld em onto the ranger frame, as the mounts are no way adaptable..

the rims should fit i took 15" 96 explore rims and put them on my 99 ranger with no problems

1997 Montaineer on my 96 Ranger...I just put the Ranger Brackets on the bumper and then made a couple braces for side support..I wouldnt think you would need to cut and weld anything on a 98..BUT I may be wrong....
