well i am wanting to swap in my 8.8 axle into my bronco2 and everybody says you need to put new spring perches on the oppisite side of the 8.8 cause the bronco's springs mount on the top of the axle and the explorer's are on the bottom I understand that but my question is and it's probably a stupied on but why can you just take the explorer springs and axle straight from the explorer an put them under the bronco with the springes mounted under the axle any input on this swap would be helpful

I have never done it before so don't quote me on anything but.... The reason you can't mount the springs under the axle like the explorer is that it would lower the backend of your b2 as if you did an axle flip (2-3 inchs I think). So unless you want a lowered B2, you have to move the spring mounts.

Yes it would be lowered a few inches, and also the explorer frames are wider in the rear since the springs are mounted on the bottom of the frame as opposed to the Rangers and BIIs, so they wouldn't bolt up.

I need to get me some new axles too. Anyone want to trade me? I'll give you a bunch of junk I have laying around, you give me an 8.8 and d-35?

I have a C-3, just needs new case seals/gaskets. Good to go.
