Hi, I just finished swapping everything into my 99 ranger (manual). The donor was from a 99 explorer 5.0 (automatic). After filling all the fluids up and connecting my battery I was very disappointed when the engine will not even crank. All the dash lights come on, Headlights work, and the theft light blinks in its usual one second intervals till the key is turned to the on position ( the theft light than goes off). When I turn the key i hear the fuel pump kick on for a sec. I am pretty sure the starter is getting power and the starter I know is working correctly. But when I turn the key, nothing, no clicks or anything.
- When removing my rangers old manual transmission, I bridge the clutch position wires the way I was suppose to, (im pretty sure). It was just pin one to pin two, pin3-4 and pin 5-6. (I don't know wire colors but I will get them tomorrow.
-Could it possibly be the clutch position senor? Also the Transmission (from the explorer) has a sensor to know when its in park or neutral. How would I go about testing if these sensors are functioning.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
