Engine idle adjustment

I had an engine surge issue and cleaned my IAC. Engine runs much better now except for the fact it idles around 1100 rpm. I have adjusted the screw until it bottoms out and still has high idle. How do I fix that idle down to 750 or so?

If you closed the butterfly all the way the IAC is probably all the way open or you have a vacuum leak. Try putting the idle adjustment back where it was and disconnect the battery for 1/2 an hour to reset the computer. While you have the batt disconnected clean the ACT sensor with elect cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Start it and see if the IAC takes control of the idle.

Computer controls the idle - something is causing it to not maintain the correct idle speed.

x3. Also search under the 2.9 section and look for idle adjustment. It's all over.

In a nutshell, you unplug the IAC, Start the truck, set the idle (with it warm 750 manual, 850 auto), plug the IAC back in and reset the battery by disconnecting for a bit.

Where is the ACT sensor?

The ACT is on the left hand side of the upper manifold if you are standing directly in front of the truck. It's almost smack dab in the middle of the side of the intake.
