Engine Dying when warm

Ok, I've pretty much had it with this truck. Its had a gremlin living under the hood since I've owned it. Its an 86 extended cab 5spd 4x4 STX ranger.

It has a new transmission, clutch, slave, master, brake master, coil, plugs, plug wires, o2 sensor, ignition module, and a few other things.

So, I get off work yesterday, its just under 1/8th of a tank, drive 2 blocks, get gas, pull back out on the road, headed towards the freeway, and it wasn't accelerating like it usually does, so I pulled into the walgreens parking lot, and it started ilding extremely rough at 500rpms for a few minutes. I tried to rev it up to see if I could get it to idle right, and around 3k or so, it just bogs out and almost dies till I let off the gas. After 10 minutes of idling it just died.

Wouldn't start whatsoever. I said screw it, got a ride home and I went back today, started it 2nd try, and drove it up on the trailer. Got it home, it started right up again and it made it to the front of the garage.

I tested the TPS sensor, 1.14vdc at idle, and 4.41vdc at WOT. Next, on to the fuel pump, 13.0vdc at the inertia switch under the dash, 13.0vdc at the pump on the framerail.

Im at a total loss as to what is going on here. After it warmed up at my house, it started to idle rough again, sputtering, and touching the gas pedal made it want to die. After 10 minutes it stopped running again, and won't start.

Any got any ideas? I have pretty much every tool known to man here, but no clue as to whats broken.

Im about to make this thing into a long range target for my rifle and call it a day.
 
No target practice man. A lot of people here would probably love to have parts off of this thing! Just part it out on here!

Have you checked for codes at all? I'm wondering if its possibly the TFI module.
 
nope no codes. Im at a 100% loss on what do. Ive put too much fricking money into this pit. Im sure its time for it to head down the road to never drive back. Im going to look at a dodge, yes, dodge tomorrow morning with cash in hand. If I wind up buying the dodge tomorrow, I'll be posting it on Reno's craigslist tomorrow afternoon.
 
ok update. Fuel pressure is 40psi KOEO. 32psi at idle, 20psi at 1/2 throttle and drops to ZERO psi at WOT. So is it fuel filter, high pressure pump, or the low pressure in the tank dying?
 
Sounds good except for the fact that it dies at WOT? I dont think its a filter since the other numbers are good...I'm not sure if I would say if its the High Pressure Pump or the Low...hmm...In all honesty, I dont know. I'm stumped too.
 
well the high pressure pump is 50 bucks and easier to replace than the low pressure which is 110 bucks. So I figure I might as well start with the cheaper of the two and pray for the best. Might just hit up the local pick n pull and pull both for 50 bucks. I just need it to run so I can send it down the road. Bringing home a new dodge truck tomorrow :-D
 
Can't tell you for sure which is the problem but I can tell you this. Your symptoms fit mine to a "tee" and I have replaced the high-pressure pump on mine already. I'm suspecting it's the in-tank pump which has the initial fault. It will run for a time before either plugging up or shutting down, starving the high-pressure and overheating it causing IT to shut down as well. Once everything cools down and you bleed off the air at the fuel rail, everything works again... for a short time.
