Engine / Carb Issues??

I finally got my engine semi sorted out but for the entire time I have had the truck, once I get maybe 1/8th mile down the road it will start hiccuping and jumping and sputter out and cut off. I cannot figure out why. Any ideas? If you need to know more info just tell me what is needed?

Thats what Im thinking but I dont know. Its a holly two barrel. It has been on both engines along with the intake has been on both engines. The carb, intake, manifolds and ignition coil have been on both motors. Any ideas now?

What model carb,jets,power valve?

Im not real sure on model or anything else. Its I believe a 350cfm. Its about the smallest they make. It could possibly be a 500cfm but no bigger

First check for a good spark at the plugs. Then Drive it til it starts bucking and pull into a big parking lot---drive around til the engine quits, then get a friend to crank the engine while you check for spark at the plugs--let us know what happens.

I know im getting spark. I looked it up and I believe I have a 0-7448 carb.

You may have to raise the fuel level in the bowl for a thirstier engine.May have to change to a different jet size,and or power valve.

Check on Holleys website for tuning info,and or call their tech assistance hotline,they are there to help.

But as stated by another poster check for spark when it dies on you.

I think I may have messed up the float level horribly yesterday messing with it.

Start the vehicle,remove fuelbowl sight plug,observe fuel level.If none seen,too low,if pouring out the hole too high.proper level is level with bottom of hole with engine idling.

To adjust,shut down engine.

Loosen lock screw on top of bowl just enough to allow for turning adjusting nut.

Using 5/8" wrench turn adjusting nut clockwise to raise fuel level,counterclockwise to lower.

Use increments of 1/4 turn.

Retighten lock screw,restart engine and check level.

Taken from instructions that came with my holley 0-7448 350 cfm carb.

check out what skippy said also if your sure of spark, make sure there is furl coming when you open the carb if not check filters or regulator if you have one.? good luck
