EEC questions I'm missing info

is there a FAQ out there for the EEC-IV? here's what I'm looking to do and what info I need.

current truck
2000 ford ranger
3.0 2wd base work truck with AC

I have my transfercases for my doubler and I'll be assembling that after a short vacation next week. now I need a 4x4 tranny and I am going to swap to a slush box here's where my question arises.

to swap to either a 4r44e or 5r44e I know I need the harness form an auto. now do I need a completly different EEC one for a 3.0 4x4 with AC or can my current one get flashed? I really need to get this tranny thing figured out asap so I need to know what parts I need but can't find a good referance.

also where would I go about posting my build thread up on here I don't see a ranger specific forum to post builds.

Yes you will need the appropriate PCM for your new automatic transmission/engine combo. And a 2000 is not EEC-IV (that ended in 94/5) It is OBD II.

so I'll need PCM harness and tranny. and my pcm def can't get reflashed?

Your computer cannot be reprogrammed to run an automatic transmission.
