i have a 1992 ranger with the 4.0, im getting no spark. All of a sudden one day while driving my truck just shut off without warning. diagnosed it down to my eec fuse blew and when i tried a new one it blew as i turned the key. where do i go from here

Most likely a new eec.
There is one remote possibility. On the circuit board in the eec are several (usually 3, I believe) capacitors. They have a tendency to fail with old age. It is slightly possible that this has happened and a failed capacitor has caused a short circuit to ground. They are cheap and easy to replace with basic soldering skills.
Picture. The bluish colored canisters standing up are the capacitors.
